Went to the Powell Farms Auction in Campbellsburg, KY this morning to see what they had. There were 2 D-19 gassers there, a B, a G, and a WD that wasn't running. The first D19 gasser was in its work clothes. It was all there, had an aftermarket 3pt on it, but looked like it had a lot of hours on it. It went for $1875. I went with it to $1850, but another person jumped in at the last minute, and I didn't want to spend more than $1800 really, but thought the $1850 had it won, so I quit on it after the new person jumped in. The second one was a good looker at first, but then after looking at it, it seemed to just have a paint job overhaul. I think it was someone's puller they threw together. It had a recent tune up, fluids looked good, but had an aftermarket hydraulic valve on the back, then I noticed the factory air intake tube was missing that came to the carb so I peeked up under the hood and saw someone had made new hose out of PVC pipe and radiator hose, completely eleminating an air filter. So after I saw that, I called my limit at the same as the other tractor. It was said to not jump out of gear, fired right off, but had a quick miss when throttled up. It went for $2000 (I didn't even bid on it). There was a B that had a quick paint job, JB welded steering arm, and was pretty rough looking under the paint and new seat that went for $500. The WD went for about the same I believe, I didn't see it go. The G I believe went in the $2500 range according to a guy I know that was there.
