Looking to possibly getting a 37 wf serial number 142. Has no tires missing radiator and hood. Everything else appears to be there. Motor turns over. My biggest question is what parts will and won't fit from a unstyled wc. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Not sure if the sheet metal would be a direct fit? I measured the hood on my 1937 unstyled WC. The hood measures 36"L x 22"W. Hope this helps.

Thank you. I'm currently working on a deal with the guy. Needs a lot of work but the motor is free and the block hasn't been repaired so it's going to be a fun project. Did the 37s come with spoked wheels on the rear or no? It has what's left of spoked wheels on it now. If it's correct I'll probably try and find another set

Hood and rad are interchangeable with unstyled WC,  Spoke wheels were used up to past that number, I had WF502 and it had spoked wheels.  Many parts are WF specific.  Mine had bad fenders but I had a bodyshop friend use the fenders off a WC and cut them down and refit them to the inner pannel from the WF. Steering wheel is different on the WF as well as the rest of the steering components including axle hubs and front wheels. Seat and backrest are same as Wc but the support spring is shorter (not interchangeable).  Other parts also just can't remember now, HTH's

Good luck and hope you close the deal. You are taking on a challenge but the folks here are a big help. When you start playing with these old tractors it can be frustrating, but when it turns out right it's rewarding.

I just rebuilt the Zenith 124 1/2 carburetor on my 37 WC. I had to order a few more parts than what was included in the rebuild kit. Sometimes I feel like I'm shooting in the dark when ordering parts or working on this tractor, but it has turned out well.

Please post some pics of the WF if you get it!

Round spoke 24 inch rear wheels would be correct unless they are flat spokes. Then that would suggest that they were cut-down steel wheels. The sheet metal should interchange with a WC except for the rear fenders.

According to Allis-Chalmers data book, (page 47) the rear wheels had 24 inch tires and round spoke-type prior to serial number 204. From serial number 204-1903 they were disc-style wheels

The hitch is not the same. Just assembled sn 9xx and11xx using WC parts. Sounds like all you need will be a WC doner.

Good luck with your WF project!  I own WF#13.  Sam Parker from North Carolina & Florida owns WF#9.  Please let us know how your project goes.

Good luck with your project! I know nothing about the WF! So I will not be much value other than a cheerleader on the sidelines! it looks like there a bunch of folks that will help you along the way. A free turning engine is a good thing!
Maybe you will help me continue to move along on my own project too. Looking forward to following your progress! Get it home!

 Chris
