Well have you ever drove your tractor through 70 mph winds? We did yesterday. Our caravan got caught in a terential downpour and severe winds north of Hamilton, Mo. Luckily the Good Lord gave us a barn to hide in. 34 soaked tractor rats hunckered down in an old open end barn for an hour. We all made it, but I was saying my prayers for a while. All in all we had a good time. but for the first timers, they won't forget this one. Dave.

Never caught in 70 mph winds, but have been soaked a few times. You were lucky on the barn, most farmers don't have a building that would be empty to accommodate that many tractors.

The WHO ride this year got caught in at least one. I think it was early enough that no one had gone out yet. Been a rough summer for getting too far from home. I've done my share of field work on an open tractor in the rain. Got stuck in a hail storm once. That was a painful experience.

I was on one last year that the wind and rain hit so hard it hurt. You could not see the tractor that was in front of you many times during that down pour that lasted at least 15 mins. The lightning was real bad as well.I was driving a wd and folling a guy that was on a JD A and there were about 4 JDs ahead of him and they were all standing up.When the drive was over I told them I was so glad they were ahead of me because with the lightning as bad as it was they were alot higher then me so they made better targets. This yr some of us showed up with snorkles along with our rain suits but it was a beautiful day this yr for the first time.

We had similar problems with our local tractor drive back in June, Made the first 12 mile with it raining pretty good for most of it. We all stop in a barnlot and got inside the barn for about 30 minutes and decided to call it off. But in the end we all still had a good time.

Dave, You guys all looked like drown rats in the parade last night. I will not post what I said I was going to. LOL
Your tractors all looked nice today. Dad and I had a ball and maybe next year it will be dry.
