After seeing the post about the Avery Steam Engine I thought I'd post some pics from today at Rough and Tumble. Watched a Baker belted to the dyno and a Case belted to the Baker fan. Enjoy the pics! I'll try to get some more tomorrow.

Here's a video. Sorry for the poor quality and no sound, I took it on my cheap picture camera. Sure wish I had sound though! It was GREAT to hear those things speak. But I guess thats just another reason for you people to come here and hear for yourself!

Sorry I'm missing it this year.  R&T is a great show, especially for steam.  I've never been to another show where I saw so many engineers who were willing to work the snot out of their steam engines.  A big diesel tractor on a dyno is cool, but even a smallish steam tractor on the dyno is awe inspiring.  Thanks for sharing!  Maybe I can make it next year.

Looks like a great show.  We have a guy in our local club that has  a baker identical to that one.  Our show is the Weekend after labor day so I will try to get some pictures of them running.  Our show is in Wilmington OH if anyone is interested we will have steam engines and the engineers love to run and talk about them.

If you like to see steamers working, go onto youtube and look up heavy haulage at the great Dorset Steam Fair. Particularly an engine called Boadicea.
If it seems like a good idea, do it. It's easier to apologise than to get permission.

Morton, No I didn't see you there.
I was with my son and 3 grandsons. They all enjoyed it.

Here's a nice one at a show in Door County, WI today. It's running in the picture.
