Pulled in our club's, Rough and Tumble in Kinzers, PA, Stock Antique tractor pull tonight at our threshermans reunion. Weighed in at EXACTLY 2500 lbs and won the class this evening. Man am I happy and excited! It was a great day for me today at our show. As for our pulling sled...welll, thats another story! (Broke halfway through the pull) I got my Farm Practices book now, got another good deal/find in our flea market, hung out with some great friends, watched a steam engine sparks show, smelled the burnt coke, and wondered the oil lantern lit grounds at 9 at night. Man was it ever a great day. Thanks for letting me share. Dad got some pictures so I'll post them sometime.

My 3 sons realy like the pulling picks. Think they are going to be your compention someday soon ( Maybe even next year for the 13 year old). Unfortantly it might be on a Case 800 until I can find something AC. all we have AC is a 816B right now

Play the game for more than you can afford to lose... only then will you learn the game.

Was thinking about going to the Iowa State Fair this weekend but decided we'll go to the Steele County one here instead. Maybe next year for Iowa. Never have been to that fair.

I have some more pictures in this Album on photobucket:

I have a lot more pictures (well, I did before my computer crashed, not 100% sure what all I have now) that are not on my photobucket account. Is there something specific you are looking for?

I have a B with a Serial number B 5733 - but it has an electric start - heard that is highly uncommon - this tractor has had some previous owners who were ingenious - it has a loader added, that is why I bought it.  Really trying to ID the thing and get it working.  Rear hitch is greatly modified, has some kind of home grown 3 point.  HYD Pump is mounted off the front of the Crank.  Has a MAG, must not be maging, coil mounted on hard with coil wire going in the mag thru Fairbanks label.

Quite a challenge, just got it running tonight consistently - just need more parts to come in from OK Tractor in Oklahoma.

Texas B, electric start's on B's, even the early ones, are not uncommon. Very Very common actually. I know of quite a few locally that were converted in the later years, even at the dealers, to electric starts. All you needed to do was swap out the torque tube.

I wasnt the one that broke that sled! lol. The sled broke it self due to operator error, oh well, it happens. HOWEVER! I was using the B for the pull-back tractor yesterday and THAT sled broke TOO!!! While I was pulling it! Again though, it wasn't my fault! The axle just couldn't take the weight. I have pictures of that too that I'll post sometime.
