some of them had a steel bushing with an o-ring inside of it others did not they had a bushing pressed into the housing and then u pressed in a double lip seal that went backward of what u would think it should by looking at it. however i had 4010 that wouldnt quit leaking so i put in the o-ringed bushing with the double lip seal on the outside of it. has he replaced the bushings and load shaft?

also if he is doing this himself before he removes the load shaft from housing make sure he puts the load draft lever under the seat all the way up in the load position other wise he will cuss himself later trust me i watched a guy do it aside from being difficult to remove the shaft u have to take the rockshaft housing off to fix it and thats alotta work that can be prevented.

T. H. E. has what I think you are after. its in the 2010 catalog which you can find on line at www.the-co.com look under hitches/front ends section 3-31 top of page. new bushings with an internal o ring for 20 bucks each and new load shaft for 59.95. I haven't used them personally but have heard they work. Ive got many hrs on a 4020 most of them plowing contour strips in wisconsin, take good care of her. good luck frank
