Dad's '66 series IV he bought back in 1984 with 5400 hours on it. Guy before him reground the valves and Dad thinks he put new rings in but hes not sure. Hasn't hardly had anything touched since. Been primarily used as our hay tractor, but Dad used to farm with it back when he first bought it. Not sure if it will roll back over to zeros or will it stop? I will try to get a video of it.

I have heard of a D17 making 10,000 hours but i have never seen one.

I believe you should change your title to 10,000 hour D17 and you will get more activity. IMHO

We have a 1958 D17 with over ten thousand hrs.
Several overhauls in its life and clutches and pressure plates.

Wilford if your dad is available get him on it and get a video of him driving and turning 10000 hrs it will be a video you will cherrish forever and maybe you can be the one the takes it to 20000
You can wash the dirt off the body but you can’t wash the farmer out of the heart and soul
