Perkins 640 V8 in those pro-stocks! Very impressive to watch run! The 1150 came out with a 510 V8, then went to 540 for the 1155 and the 2745/2775 I think. The 640 was used in the 2800/2805 some 860 combines and the White 9200/9720 combines.

Mike Everson from Belleville WI.built a newer body style Massey with the 640 v8. Called sleepnir (Norwegian mythical 8 legged horse) it pulled fot the first time in 2017. He is a huge massey fan and spent 3 years building it if this is the same tractor he went through 6 header designs before he got one to hold up where the four pipes come together that piece started out as a 70 lbs chunk of stainless and he machined that himself he does own a machine shop though.

The early 2255 used the Cat 3150 573 CID engine. Later in production, they went to the 3208 which is 636 CID. The 3208 is an update/improvement of the earlier 1150/3150, 1160/3160. the 11 being truck engines, 31 being industrial engines, the 50 being 573, 60 were 636. confused yet? lol! I would imagine Oliver/White switched to the 3208 because the 3150 was likely discontinued when the 3208 came out.
