So I got a new clancy radiator for the 45. Did a dry fit and as fully expected as nothing is ever easy, the fan blades do not clear the radiator...I do hope what is pictured below is about dialing in or out the fan blade to make it clear. Of course that is frozen up too...

Adj at pulley only adjust the pulley .Not to sure but i think fan blade is on reversed.

That adjustment is for the width of the sheave only. Looks to me that your fan is on backwards. You might try flipping it around and see how it fits.

My 45 has a 5 blade fan. It wouldn't clear my new radiator shroud. I had to grind a little on the blades.

Not only when you reverse the blades, you turn it the other way so it still moves air, just not as efficiently. Look at the blades. They should look somewhat concaved away from the radiator. Sort of like this. l (

I see,,,
Well if I meet my Dad in the next life, will ask him whaddup with dat!? But perhaps it came from the factory that way....afterall he did find ball bearings in the oil pan...also the old radiator had the corner braces torn...or bent out....thats an indicator things werent right.. Thanks for the info guys.
