Talladega is an odd place to watch a race. I've been to: Charlotte, Michigan, Martinsville, Indianapolis, Rockingham, and Talladega. At Talladega, I sat second row from the top, halfway between the start finish line and turn 1. Awesome seats one would think.....BUT, the place is so huge, looking at so much real estate at once from up there, the perception of speed is gone. It's like watching cars go over a bridge from a boat a long ways away, it looks like they're hardly moving. Looking forward to that flash of zoom zoom zoom zoom like you see on TV, it isn't there. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I went and had fun and saw the place.....just kinda odd! My favorite place of all I've been to is Charlotte. Always wanted to do Bristol back when I gave a crap about the racing.......now not so much. I'd go if a group of friends invited me, but not going to set out to do it.

I went to the Bristol night race about 10 years ago. Awesome race, awesome race track, unbelievably loud, awesome fans. My only complaint is your basically sitting in the lap of the person next to you. Now with some of the women there that would be fine. However, as with my luck, the fellas on both sides of us were north of 300 lbs and had been out drinking in the August sun all afternoon. Still a cool experience everybody needs at least once

I was at Daytona in 1969 and would rather watch on TV. The noise and my head don't turn fast enough.
