Here is a pic of my latest acquisition. It is a late 70's or early 80's model ACP50 forklift. It is powered by a F162 Continental engine and has a 14 foot mast. It need s a little work but does run nice. Went to get it on Saturday afternoon and had some trailer problems. The tail lights worked when we left home but when we needed them on they way back it would blow the fuse. It was getting too dark to drive with out lights so we parked it at the threshing ground in Jordan and finished the last 7 miles of the trip on Sunday morning during a snow/ sleet/ rain storm. It was a nice day today so i had it out melting off the ice and snow. We were also fixing the broken wire on the trailer. Matt

Great lookin' machine Matt! Them old Continental engines are the best! We still have some old Hyster's here at work around the 63-66 vintage with the old Continental engines in them and their still running around picking up heavy transformers and what-not. Good luck with it!

Nice forklift. I picked up an ACC50 last year which is the same except hard tires.
Great machine in the shop.

That's a real handy unit Matt. Just remember that mast goes higher than some ceilings. Mike

Matt that looks like the perfect size!! with those tires you should be able to take it outside as long as you stay out of the sand.

Steve already mentioned those old Continental F162 engines. Was a Hyster lift truck operator for quite a few years in the late 60's, early 70's, then became a mechanic on them. Good, tough engines. Were ran hard. Only problems I had was burning valves-attributed to running on LP instead of gas. I think the engines would last longer than the trucks!
Very nice aquistion. From the looks of the size of your homestead, you will get some use out of the AC forklift!

I know you think it would but it going to stay here for a while. You can buy the ACC70 that was sitting next to this one. They are going to have to sell it if they sell the building it is in. Matt

May I ask where you found a manual for your Fork Lift? I Just received my (new to me) ACC50. Everything seems to work fine but the seals on the hydraulics are leaking. It has set for a while will they stop leaking or will we need to replace the seals?

Curt ,first thing welcome to the forum.you've come to the right place for allis chalmers information.Lots of knowledgeable folks here to help out.Next you may want to start your own thread for the question you have due to this thread being five years old.A new thread in either the classifieds or the farm equipment section will get you more exposure and get you more answers quicker. After that some one will most likely have an answer.
