What would be so corrosive in the catfish ponds that it would rust the tractor and aeration pump severely. Thanks. Dale

Would there be a lot of nitrates in the water? Do you raise fish yourself? If you do, I sure would like to see some pictures.

Sounds like way to many catfish in one small pond ? Over stocked ? Regular fresh water introduced ?

Had a tractor hitch a ride on my trailer. Was used on an aerator on a catfish pond in Oklahoma. The entire back side was rusted and eaten up......

neighbor had catfish ponds (3 of them) and also had AC tractors, he used an irrigation pump to keep the water fresh, only problem he had with any damage to his 190XT with a cab, was when a dude and his 2 girlfriends stole it to pull their car outta the ditch, but they got to close to the edge of the pond and upset it into the water, they all drowned! he used the 190 to run the irrigation pump on the PTO.
