Got our new 220 home today! My son Joey and I have been looking for a clean unmolested 220 at a resonable price for many years finally found this one that was sold new in Central Illinois and lived there all its life.

Congrats! I saw that < 2500 hour AC tractor listed online over near Sullivan, IL. Was it originally sold by the AC dealer in Arthur (now Kuhns Equip)?

I know Kinney Barker, original owner of Barker Implement. During their AGCO days, I bought numerous gleaner parts from him. His relative, Josh runs dealership now. It is Landoll tillage & such.

I got the original owners manual with it and that's how I know where it came from new, had the dealer, town and phone number along with the tractor and engine serial number in it. I looked Barkers up on the internet and was amazed they were still in business, even had the same phone number as the one in my owners manual. I can't believe they sold a whole lot of 220's I wonder if he would remember this one?

I did an internet search & sadly found that Kenny passed away in 2015. Here's his obituary which does mention his dealership. The Josh mentioned as surviving relative, I believe, now runs the dealership. They are a very respected family of Shelby County

Josh is a grandson. There was a guy from Windsor who farmed ground(family) down around Altamont and he had the only 220 around here that I knew of.He did business with Kenny. Used to go by my house on the trip. Can't remember his name but could find out easily. Also don't remember if that one had a cab. Been a long time ago.

In case you don't know, don't let it set with bio diesel.Your pump, tank & wallet will thank you. I see it has road fuel in it and much of that is bio.....

I remember selling them a parts 444 square baler years ago for a customer who needed the main gear box.  They were making a delivery in Central Missouri and called and came by and picked it up.  They used to be at the Farm progress shows in Illinois demoing Landoll tillage equip pulled by a big A-C tractor.

Barker's recently bought a former Case dealership in Raymond, IL.  Wish they'd get their AGCO franchise back.  Then I'd have an AGCO dealer nearby.

Don't see that happening. I'm sure Josh is plenty happy being independent. He must be doing quite a lot of wheeling and dealing on used equipment of all flavors from the increase  in inventory on both lots.
