Felt bad on hijacking over posts.
I'm wanting to pull injectors and injection pump in hope to send to Ed to rebuild. The other posts on 185 is nicely explained but is different then 200. The 190 would be similar but didn't want to hijack that post. Was wondering what helpful tips anybody had for this job. Thank you for any help you have |

PM ED. He can walk you through it and you'll get correct advise.
I know what on a 220 but it may be different.

Really the main difference from the 185, is the oil cooler and turbo lines. Disconnect as few as needed to get the pump out. I take the front access cover off and that allows me to slide the gear and shaft forward enough to get the pump out of the tight spot it's in.

prybar, and carefully pry them out after taking all lines and bolt off. Sometimes they can be rusted in pretty bad, other times they slide right out. Make sure there's no copper washers down in the holes in the head. Even if they come out with the injector, look down the hole. I had one tractor here that had 3 washers in one of the holes! There is only supposed to be one in each hole. lol!

Make sure you take photos of the injector lines before anything is removed.
Photos of the disassembly process are extremely handy during assembly. Clean it very well before starting.

always remember to not pressure wash the injection pump while it's running. The cold water can cause the head to seize. Especially when it's really hot from working, and the water is cool. Has even occurred when driving in deep water.
