The carburetor is from a Wisconsin VH4D engine, I'm going to make an adapter to fit this carburetor onto my Onan CCKB engine.

The throttle shaft will come out and be reversed to work from the Onan governor.

The studs on the Onan intake manifold will be removed as the screws on the adapter plate will be countersunk  to make the plate flush to the backside of the carb mount.

Thoughts will it work or am I dreaming.

gee, anything can be made to work.. but what's your time worth ??

what about some 'offshore' carb ? I get them for $20,never had a bad one.

there's a LOT of time in making the adapter plate, right the 1st time. me, I'd get the countersunk on the wrong side 2,3 times THEN the light bulb would come on....
then there's the full throttle is now idle thing......

just food for thought..

Bastardizing parts always makes it interesting for the next owner when he needs to replace  something.

Choke has been swapped over to the other side the throttle shaft may get a rework using parts from the Onan carb.

Both throttle shafts are the same diameter but the Onan carb has a shorter shaft, I may just rob the end then silver solder it onto the Wisconsin Carburetor.

Price is alright on that Kohler K532 carburetor, they're now being sold for $43.00 and I really< like the idea of having the mixture adjustments on top.
