Wow! That sled and operator got a heck of a ride!
I don't know why, but when the boost gets built, and that black smoke rolls my heart just about jumps out of my chest. Whoooooie! gotta love that adrenaline!
If it weren't for the last minute, I wouldn't get anything done!

that is Dave Becker from the east coast pullers he has realy been nipping at those john deeres he gets better and better every year 2nd at tuckahoe and fith at laplata wich is very impressive up against the martins john deeres hes maken the allis people proud!

Very smooth running D21!  If I heard the anouncer correctly, he said that it had 4 turbos?  Did anyone else hear that?  I see that Tuckahoe added concrete crowd barriers.  Back in the late 80's it was just folks in lawn chairs next to the edge of the track & Howard Meridith's triple turbo 1066 thundering down the track.  Now, I am missing the delicious crabcakes....  Oh humm....

Yep,Eric...I heard the announcer also say that it had 4 turbos. It's probably a good thing that the rider on the sled was in an enclosed booth,'cause I'm pretty sure his face would've been peeled back going down the track at Mach V or better! LOL!  Rick

I thought that sled was going to take off to the moon!! He should've hit the left brake at the end, spun it around, and brought it back for them!! LOL!!
