Talking on a deal for a 5050. Injector pump took a dump. Can it be rebuilt, or are replacements available? Any idea on costs? Thanks for your help!

I guess either no one has had to rebuild a pump or no one owns a 5050. I would have thought I would get a few more responses. At least what brand is normally on these tractors. I sure wish I could get a little more info before I go look at it.
Thanks, John

we would need some more info before we could help you. Like a photo of the pump I think they used cav pumps on 5040 and 5050. Your best bet is to pull it and take it to a pump shop and have them test it. Plus did you take any lines off to see whats it doing ? How many hours are on the pump ? If nothing major a rebuild should be under 500 bucks plus if your buying a non-running 5050 how long has it been sitting ?

Kip, Thanks for the info. It hasn't been sitting too long. The guy says we should be able to get it started with ether. All I have seen is one pic of the tractor and for the price it looks like a good deal. I would think it's an original pump, and I didn't get the hour reading, will look when I go check it out this weekend. Thank You.
