well guys Im at a point in life Im getting more serious about some things.....well Im getting married in about 9 months, and though I own a house, it just aint quite big enough....so I went to look at a house tonight with my fiance and well we both really want it....big brick victorian, with a second house next to it as a rental, and a 30x100 shop...yes I said that right...30x100.....well here is the dilemma...Im a bit short of cash and need some money down to make an offer so Im going to sell my WC....I'll still have the WD, and I get a huge shop in the deal lol.....Im thinking 2200.00 obo isnt too far off for it....has one bad spot on the hood...its an older restoration but runs PERFECT....here's a link to some pics

I do like the WC but I can always buy another(and I'll have a place to store several lol) so let me know if anyone is interested, and if my price is off or not

Hope the House and shop work out for you!  I'm in the process of buying a house now too.  My opinion is you're high on the price for the WC (just because there are a TON of WC's out there, not because it isn't nice or anything), but hope you get it!

Benny - I know where you are coming from, but tend to agree with Jacob. Hope it all works out for you. The WC looks good - from the pictures with the neighbors kids.

Benny-

It's a buyer's market right now, and while raising cash appears to be a paramount thing, selling your collection will probably net you an effective loss.  As far as managing the house purchase, since it'll become your primary residence, IMO you'll probably find much higher purchase support value in a 'creative financing' strategy, than in liquidating your collection.  One important issue is that when you buy, buy it as a couple- it totally changes the financing outlook by which your mortgager works.

Best wishes to you and your fiancee!!

well we are buying this house together....I just need some fast cash for a 1000 dollar down payment of sorts to put the offer in with....I can always buy another tractor....this is a one of a kind property I dont want to miss.....I just figured I'd give selling the WC a shot....I know its a buyers market but trying never hurts right? I'll keep posted on if we get the place or not.

If you do not get the 2200 for the tractor you can at least get the 1000 you need.  You may lose a little in the begining by not getting top dollar but you gain a lot by getting the house you want.

Out here in ND.  I figure putting my hard earned $ into house payments makes more since than throwing it away towards rent every month (it just took this long, almost 2 years, to find a house worth buying that was in my price range).  And this way I will have a lot that I can put up a big garage on.  I'm hoping a 3 stall.  That way I can bring one of my projects out here at a time and fix them up! Yipee!
But the garage won't happen until at least next summer.  Have to build up the funds...LOL!

And as far as you getting the minimum of 1000$ for the WC, that should be no problem.  Good luck, keep up posted!
