 Topic: CA Transmission Oil capacity?

Hello,
What is the CA transmission oil capacity..
I have put in 2 gallons of 20w and my hydraulic pump is not pumping. Not reading on the dipstick yet, just wondering how much more I'll need to buy?

Take the CA and face it uphill. An original gasket between the PTO and Differential had a "DAM" to keep the oil in the hyd when going downhill. Right now that may be blocking the flow of oil to the hyd system.

Bill,
Tried your advice, drove it up a steep hill, pto running. No lift... I'll bet the pump pistons are rusted. Previous owner had left the drain plug out for over 5 years... Will have to pull the pump and have a look.

You might find mouse nesting material in there. If I leave the tool box lid closed on the B it will be full in a week form mice nesting. If I leave it open the birds want to nest in it. I leave it about half open. LOL

Ugh, I hope there is no mouse nesting material in there.... If there is its all mixed with nice new oil.
I've had it with the mice. Had about 5 traps in my barn. They were quite productive... Then we got a barn cat, he was doing ok until my wife started to over feed him, big battle with the wife over that... Can't leave the snap traps out with the cat. I saw a Victor Tin Cat that looks like a must buy and it won't catch the cat.

You know, I cannot believe someone would do that. Run the PTO and hyd without oil.
Drain the oil from the pto - there is also a drain under the hyd valve body and remove the pump. From there all I can say is good luck!
