I went to a consignment sale that Harley Jackson had. A nice D14 went for app. 1400 and an AC drill went for 350. I bought the old WC for 400, wasn't that bad until I seen the cracked and puttied block. It might be parts. I got a pallet of old cylinders and chisel shanks for $5 and there was an AC grease gun in the pile.
The guy that bought the 14 was loading it on his truck off someone's trailer and the ramps slipped. The 14 was upside down on the trailer, the guy jumped in time. When they got it upright and loaded, bent fenders, steering wheel, gas tank, hood, muffler, front axel, front wheel. |

Handle equipment and loading is more dangerous than most people think.
Been at plenty auctions over the years. Seen at least 6 tractors on the side or on the top from loadings. No one has been hurt the people have very lucky. Glad that person is okay. |

Seen a big old 950 moline go over the end of the trailer because of no brakes and hit the back end of the dump truck... smashed in the grill and bent the endgate... then they had to jack the thing up to get it back. LOL
Seen a crawler being backed off a trailer and it spun as it crested and turned side ways and landed on it side. thats about as bad as I seen loading go wrong in front of me. |

I'd rather back a tractor on a trailer than back it off.
