An I-600 industrial tractor had a back plate that would fit a D-15 tractor for the 4-cylinder 433-TI engine. Don't know if that engine will fit between the side frames of a D-14, as it is narrower than a D-15.

Will the 4:33 even fit between the frame rails

only if one finds an I600 or a 500 fork lift frame or 615 etc.  Also going to have to have a flywheel out of a 200 CI gas or diesel as well.   Then there is a starter
issue.

Sounds like a neat project. Our local rules would allow that swap into a D15 but not a D14 as the D14 was never factory available as a diesel.  The 433T would be a motor of the same number of cylinder by the same manufacturer as OEM. I would guess that the 433 flywheel would need to be cut down to fit inside the bellhousing and then the OEM ringgear could be used along with the OEM starter for the tractor. Although a gas starter would need a special rebuild to have torque for a diesel.  I'm only guessing but maybe the 433 backing plate could be drilled to fit the bellhousing and then the excess trimmed off.    Let us all know of your progress.
If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

I have a D2200 engine assembly out of a 653 with the rear plate, flywheel, starter, hydraulic pump, etc, and looking for the front plate to mount in a D15 chassis.
The 615 with a D2200 engine is a very nicely done install from the factory, still looking for one.
