A lot of Amish and quilt shops also up around Jamesport (just to the North of Hamilton). Terry Implement in Trenton / Gallatin area has a lot of A/C salvage parts in case you're looking for anything. St. Joe is the origination of the Pony Express and has some good musuems. Be a nice time of the year to be around. Of course you're also only 4 or 5 hours straight north of Branson, Mo. which is worthy of a visit.

If your on I70 through KS there are a few things. Goodland KS has the worlds largest picasso, you can see from the interstate. The Sternberg museum in Hays has lots of fossils from KS and is worth the stop really neat. W of Hays is the cathedral of the planes which is interesting to see once. Abilene is the original cow town and has lots of stuff some better than others, old west attractions, greyhoud hall of fame, telephone museum, Maybe a Chrysler museum. They also have the Eisenhower presidential museum that is pretty interesting. In Manhattan there is the Konza Prairie a cool place to hike. Topeka has a cool airplane museum with lots of old fighters. In Kansas City there is a bunch of stuff too.

Don....the quilt shops in Hamilton are all owned by the same family, they have numerous buildings with approx. 20,000 or more bolts of fabric and other stuff used in quilting. they employ about 150 people, (almost all of the town folks). they ship out thousands of items each day from internet sales! so take a magazine to read while she's walking thru all them stores! lol (glad it's you and not me)!
