My d-17 has what looks to be the original manifold on it. The tractor is new to me and the muffler it came with was shot and did no good. Replaced with a nelson muffler, but it doesnt fit well in the manifold and it is still quite loud. Ideas?

Where did you get a Nelson muffler? They are hard to find, and very pricey when found!

Oops, I was refering to the black oval type used and Series III and IV.
