    Posted: 03 Aug 2016 at 7:55pm
Hey guys. Just an opinion or hopefully some experience would be nice. I have a 185. Dynoed last night at 138 hp. 18.4x30 firestone field and road rears with matching band duals. Inner filled with fluid. Will be pulling in 9500# since I can not make 7000# class anymore with the fluid. Will I still be able to go in third hi or low or am I down to second gear now? Thanks for any advice.

At 138 hp, I assume it has an aftermarket turbo and some pump/injector work? If so you, should be able to use third high/low (fifth and sixth) easily.

I, personally, never had any luck pulling with calcium chloride in the tires.

I have beet juice but I know what you mean. I use it on the farm and need the weight. Just pulling at the county fair for fun.

Sorry you asked a question.... yes I have a 200 turbo and pump and injectors are setup up at 200 specs at local shop. I'm just lucky to be at 138 hp. When I overhauled the engine I was expecting 100_110 hp

Second gear, but I'm not there looking at what kind of track you've got, but I still think second.

from memory - it takes about 160 hp to hold 3d high with 30" tires at 7000 #. On a power track you are in 4th gear over 8000#....

Not to sidetrack, but on Facebook there is a post about a guy running a 185 with 200hp.
Intercooled, not sure what Turbo setup
But he farms with it.
