Alright so im having a blast pulling the 19 diesel and xt in the out of field classes and whoopin up on the red and green but I want a new challenge. Theres a new hot farm class that's just starting in my area and its really geared towards the red and green so its a tall order to throw some orange in but I want to try. My two options are a 7000 series tractor or an xt. Where it gets tricky is c.i. limit is 478 running a stock 3lm 466 charger everyone buys the same one through the same guy and their all teched and sealed up for the season. Weight classes are gonna be tricky with 7000 series at 8700 and 9500. Whats my best route and why?

D 21,would be best,,, a 7000 series would be hard to get that light, and an XT has the 301 it'd be tough to get a 301 to hang with a big cube motor, they can be setup but not that good, especially with that turbo setup a D21, you can get it light and your starting with a factory 426 ci engine, and put 7000 sheet metal on it

I would use a d21 if I could but the tractors mentioned above are what I have at my disposal.

My guess is the IH tractors rule in that class, a TA makes a big difference in a class like that

Give Dave Waesch a call at Wipe out enterprises in Sidney ohio.
He builds light pro motors for AC, I worked for him a couple years and I know the 7000 has less movable wt than D21. He has customers with both tractors. He is one of the top 3 builders in the country mostly does IH so he knows what you will be up against. |
