I went to the Train Museum in Salisbury, NC and there was a huge Allis Chalmers trailer with all these collectables, and several nice Allis Chalmers. I fell in love with a UC that was there.
Anyhoo… I have inherited an old C, and am currently tearing it apart to get her running again, and doing its thing. I rebuilt an old 8N in my basement once , and am used to the 3 pt hitch. This Allis has quite a contraption under it and behind it for plows, etc. So, I ordered an operation manual and a service manual, and have been cleaning up little things, yucky carb, genny is/was frozen up (not now), Making new connecting wires, among a few other things.
So I was wondering if we have any local AC guys here in the Triad that I can pick your brains? Id pay for the help. you can shoot me an email or call me at mmaher@triad.rr.com or 336.403.0593. Thanks in advance, Mike. |

I don't remember very many from the Carolinas. There's a few from here in Georgia and a few from Tennessee. Any questions you have can be answered here though. There's some SMART folks here. There's also several that like to poke here and there but it's all in good fun. You've heard the saying "we wouldn't pick at you if we didn't like you". Well, I'd say most everybody here is very well liked. Welcome to the forum. Watch out for ole shame shame (you'll know who he is soon)

Thanks guys. I have actually read a ton in the forums already, as I was looking for a WD45 pulling tractor and was researching in here last year. Tons of great information. You guys are great!
To be clear, this tractor has a "b" front end. There is another C yet to be picked up with just running gear and the straight front end. This guy was a tinkerer, and everything has been dismantled or messed with. Edited by Sneakymedic - 18 Jul 2016 at 7:40pm |

I was in Lenior a few weeks ago , as a "good freind" dumped 4 goats off on me that I had to go pick up there. HAHA. He got stuck out of town in his job and needed someone to feed them/take care of them for awhile.
