A guy asked me last night if there were belly mowers made for the WD or wd45. I got thinking I have never seen one. I'm sure a b or c one could be modified and maybe easily to fit. Anyone have one or seen one?

A friend of mine has one on his WD. Don't know the make, but know he used to use it to mow his lawn.
Looking at the past to see the future.

Woods L306 fits a WD 45 I've only ever seen one, it's the same mower as used on the B/C with differant mounts. I dought you'll ever find one used but you can still get one from Woods. You'll have to order it and be prepared to wait till they make it. When I ordered a new one for my C it took five weeks to get it.and $2500. My neighbor ordered a new one last year for his Farmall he said it took a month and cost $2800. The new woods was the best money I've spent on yard equipment. In the 15 year I've had it it's only needed grease and a couple belts. I prefer a narrow front for mowing it's nicer for mowing around trees.

The mower decks are all the same but all the mounting hardware and drive pulley is totally different. I have seen a few on a WD but the gas you save using a CA would pay for the mower in a few years time  Ouch

There's a Woods L-306 for a WD/WD-45 for sale now on the Louisville Craigs list . I have 2 306's on 2 CA's and they are good mowers.
It's the color tractor my grandpa had!

I agree.  WD/45s are too big and thirsty to have a belly mower under them.  A CA is smaller and much more maneuverable, which is ideal for a lawn - not something big and clumsy.

Always have a center roller on that mower if you use it on a WD-45. You'll eat a lot of drive belts mowing uneven ground as the engine has too much power for the mowers drive belt.

Have had this one for about ten years, power steering makes this work great. New belt right after i got it. Guess i am lucky with the belt! Cant imagine it would use that more gas than a ca. Got the belt from Motion Ind. Didnt right down the number, half price as from Woods, and just as good. I mow roads sides and around sheds on the farm.

Here is a picture of my mowers. The first is a 1952 WD that came from my Granddad Curless' AC dealership in Liberal, Missouri. It has a Woods L306 mower on it with factory power steering. It is a sweet mowing machine.

The next is my 1939 B with a Woods L59 on it. I've mowed with that tractor for 15 years or so and it is also a great little mower.

This is my 1956 WD45 with factory power steering and an 82S mower for the pond banks.

Then I have 2 712S garden tractors with mowers and some other attachments. All in all great mowers for the various applications.
The 14th Annual Exclusive AC Swap Meet will be held in Boonville, MO, March 7-8, 2025. See the club website for details: http://www.moacclub.com/

I've got a WD mount for Woods L306 sitting in my barn collecting dust.  Might part with it for the right price.
