I've been shadowing this sight for a couple of months now and have been learning a great deal from all you experts.  Bought a D17 series II last December and have been trying to get it presentable in my spare time.  It runs great but pretty neglected.  In fact I was looking at a WD45, ended up being not what wanted, when the guy I was talking to said "I have a piece of junk D17 I can show you".  Hoping some day I can contribute back.  Here's a small offering.

About the picture of the "A". Is that an oil pan off of a crawler or power unit? There is something different about it.  Dave.
