Well I am having the startter rebuilt and new alt put on my WD, I then started to get ready to make sure all was well with the breather so I could hook it back up to the carb. I pulled the bottom cover off and there is the wire mesh,, looks clean and I can take it out. My question is this. On some of the other posts I have noticed that the breathers have a plate that makes it hard to get the mesh out,, this does not have that. Also what type of oil do you use in the breacher to put in the bottom of the bowl/cap? A final ? Can some one send me a pick of your Carb on your WD,, the carb on mine is super small and I am not sure if it is the correct one. MEdited by Sitesstables - 09 Jun 2010 at 8:36am |

The WD air breather has removable wire mesh, the photos last week looked like a WD45 breather, it is not removable (as easy)

Breather bowl uses the same oil as in the engine, and should be changed at the same time as the engine too.

Steve I will get it to you in this evening via emial. I got rebuilt starter back on and the alternator problem was that the volt regulatoron the tractor was shot, so he rebuilt with a regulator in the alternator then I just hooked up a hot wire straight to it .. works great. I put SAE 30 in breather bowl and will get in the garage and get the carb off So I can get the numbers.. it runs but pops and back fires like crazy also the when that gas is turned on the suck leaks so maybe someting stuck.. Also found a guy that has a WD and a WD45 the wd has been rebuilt but needs alt to and generator to finish the convert over to 12 volt the wd has perfect rims wich I need and good sheet metal it runs but smokes like a crack house,, he will take $1000 and I can have them both.. might pull the triger that way would have a parts tractor and another to mess with..

From what I gather the carb is a Zenith 161.. Only can make out the Zenith. but from the PDF file that was on here I see that is what they sometimes came with.
