Dad bought the 390 when it was less than 5 years old, at a John Deere dealer auction. He only paid something like $100. It had a cracked wobble box but he got it welded up and we used it to cut mostly alfalfa hay for his 37 cow dairy. In the mid 80's he found a good wobble box off a 720 Allis silage chopper and I only quit using it, guessing, around 2006 or 2008. It cut a lot of acres and needed some missing shields right behind the rollers which was causing it to plug up. Joe Graunke has it now. It cut better and left a better windrow than the New Holland 460 Dad had for a time in the 80's.
