Last Summer I bought a D17 and the owner told me upfront the PD didn't work right. He had it "blocked" in high side with the control lever tied in position. The man was very honest and I have no complaints with him. After getting the tractor home I found there was not enough fluid in the PD to touch the dipstick. I filled it to the full mark and untied the PD lever and moved it back. Well now the tractor won't move in low nor high. I just put the tractor under the shelter and I'm now getting ready to work on it. Any suggections? Is the PD disk manually moved from low to hi or is is hydraulic? Also I have a PD clutch pack out of a 180 and can anyone tell me if the clutches or anything else might exchange and be usable in the D17 PD. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanx

geb  Check the PD handle and make sure the set screw is tight on the shaft going inside the housing. I have seen tractors that did NOT have low side and all was wrong was the shifter handle was loose on the shaft.Set screw is at bottom of handle. Good luck.  Gary
