Hi, I have read that there were HD7s in lend lease and HD11 in the pacific theatre. Were all of them cable operated blades or were any of them ever loaders?

Interesting article, Steve. HD11 wasn't produced until 1955.

I believe that HD7 W HD10 W and HD14 W where used in ww2 also WM crawlers were used as i have a service book for the M crawlers 1st edition with the U S war department order numbers on it.Also they were fitted with either a Carco C c u or Baker over head unit with front or rear mounted hydraulic pump, and equipped with la-plant choat blade? The WM crawler came equipped with and i quote Carco model e winch, 3 Man Seat.
Front mounted hydraulic pump Spark Plugs-4 Ice grouser shoes (skeleton) Oil Filter Element Electric starting equipment Glass Sediment Bowls-2 Radiator curtain DrawBar Pin Muffler High Nuts-8 Rear Drawbar Track Shoe Bolts -8 Front Hook Track Shoes -2 Convertible Winter Cab Valve Springs-2 Vacuum Windshield Wiper Valve Tapers -4 Special Battery Insulation Fan Belt Alemite Protectors Chain Sling or Cable 150 ft of 5/8 " Cable Single Pulley-Snatch Block Hand Crank Provisions for Carrying -Evans Burner Crank Case Diluter Canvas Cover,Shove; Pick and connector for burner Tool Box on CAB ON U.S. WAR DEPARTMENT ORDER NO. 58856-DA Sorry for the long post |

OK thanks for the info. My mistake on HD14 instead of HD11.
I like the way they looked in the olive drab paint. My HD5 is too new, but it is needing a repaint and I am thinking of painting it this way instead of orange or yellow. Just think it would look cool and stand out.
