This summer I was fortunate to be able to add a G to my collection. Since trucking it home, it's been patiently waiting for me to give it some attention, and today was the day. Thought I'd share my "progress" as it's been an interesting day! The carb was leaking gas into the air intake pipe - a carb kit took care of that. And a new sed bowl assembly eliminated the leak THERE (due to a warped base). Then a little tinkering with the points cleared up a no-spark problem. But....no gas was getting into the cylinders. After pulling the carb again - and finding no noticeable problem - she fired right up! Then I discovered that the clutch wouldn't release - fortunately a little rocking back and forth in gear with the clutch disengaged cured that issue. I then had a nice time driving around the yard before supper. Next steps are to degrease the engine - it's thick with oily dirt - and restore the charging circuit.
Here's a picture taken before I loaded her to bring her home:
I'm hoping that today's experience was NOT an omen!

You sly dog! When did you purchase that little dude? Looks pretty nice! Haven't even looked at mine yet that I purchased from Burgie. Once the shop gets situated and up n' running, it'll be time to do the lil' G.

Gotta agree with Joe - I just couldn't believe that it'd be one thing right after another! Steve, bought this in August. My shop is coming - roof is on and wiring underway. Next is the floor....here's a picture: Inside is a 24x30 shop and a 16x30 storage area, and there's a 10x40 porch along the back side. Construction is keeping me busy!
