I need a little schooling on injectors. How do you determine injector size based off of fuel needs? Whats the difference between dual feed and single feed. Whats is the advantage of billett injectors cant seem to find alot of info on this topic

Well dual feed injectors have two feed passages from the very top where the injecton line threads onto, all the way to the tip itself. single feed is only one passage. Now onto billet injectors, really all injector bodies are "billet" but the tips/nozzles are all cast. If someone tells you different, they are full of you know what! lol

The billet bodies are advantageous for a couple of reasons:

Some times and OEM body will "blow out" between the feed passages or into the spring pocket after the second passage installed. This is more common in the IH injectors as they are a smaller diameter body to begin with. Also the billet bodies are now being triple fed. I suppose staring with a clean canvass allows the feed passages to be installed where ever.

Normally an off the shelf nozzle tip is used on the billet body. There are some billet tips being made which work very well if you know where to find them.

As far as sizing of the injectors, any reputable pump shop will size them correctly for the application.

In reality all injector bodies are "billet". I'd really like to know how you make a "billet" nozzle. How would you machine the fuel gallery inside of the nozzle?

The AC bodies are cast. Not sure what the Bosch bodies are made from but they do not seem cast like when drilled, but not steel either.

I would like to know how they make the billet tips also. I guess if you think about it OEM nozzles are mass produced every day. Adding the fuel passages would be any different then adding the second passage in an OEM nozzle to make a dual fed nozzle. Now a days it is not hard to reverse engineer things and add the revisions needed. With some of the billet nozzles the pentles are coated from what I hear (anti stick) and the design of the fuel passages within the nozzle itself are designed for higher, quicker fuel delivery.
