Ok, so many of my friends have been on farmville for minths on FaceBook. I was against it cause i have always spent my time in the shop rather then playing a computer game or game console. Yesterday I stepped over the weird boundry, I was using my laptop in the shop at Ted's while I was on FarmVille. LOL My question is, does anyone else on here use FarmVille? Cause I wish I could get a D-17D to plow the field. LOL

I was against it for the same reasons as you, plus a couple more: Facebook is such a time-suck. I see so many people that spend all day at the University screwing with it. AND I couldn't stand all of the updates, especially about how so-n-so rescued a lost pink cow. That said, I never actually tried playing the game. Might be a real gas, and amongst city-slickers, I just read it is one of the most popular games, which is good.

well like alot of you guys i havent played with farmville yet nor do i think i wil.. actually the idea of basically "playin farm" really pisses me off. there is alot more to farming then what they r doing in the game. they the makers of this game r leading people to think farming is all roses and everyone is having a ball.. its a business just like any other . you end up making choices that make or lose you lot of money. anyways my feeling is that if im farming for the rest of my life i certainly dont want to "play farming" sorry for the rant its one of those days

I don't play or use any of the applications on Facebook just because most applications want to pull your personnel information in doing so. I'll let my friends see my "stuff" but I won't let some application or game do it and then give it to who ever?
You can also hide all those updates from your friends and you won't see them anymore from that friend for that particular application or game. It helps clean up what you are looking at.

Farmer_Rob, it's a GAME - I don't think anyone playing it believes they are a farmer!! Does everyone who plays mafia wars on there think they are a member of the mafia and that's what it's really like? how about playing monopoly, is that all there is to being a real estate tycoon or banker. I don't think anyone is that naive to think that the games we play to get away from reality are anything resembling the real world.

I think they need to add some realism to the game. Random flood, drought, blight, swarm of locusts, hoof and mouth, wild fire, hail storm, lightning strikes, tornado, bloatd market, foreign competition, coyotes in the chicken house. give 'em a tiny tiny taste of reality in the game.

My Wife is on it, she loves it. She started playing last fall and I wouldn't help because I was out in the real garden, since it's winter now I go in and mess around a little bit, get more of the lambs and calves, they pay out better and don't take up as much space, crops do you best though if you want to rack up a bunch of money. You would never see me get a profile on facebook, but I do like to play that game once in a while.

Its not a big deal with the time on farmville but I got a 24x24 farm and little trees. Cant do the real thing in the winter here so I do it on the computer.

my sisters and nieces and nephews are playing farmville, along with mafia wars and some of the other games. I tried farmville once but would rather spend my time browsing this forum, youtube, yesterdays tractors, craigslist, etc...< id="gwProxy" ="">< ="jsCall;" id="jsProxy" ="">
