Most owners luck enough to find them selves steward of an Allis Chalmers A have been contacted or at least in the know of the gentleman in question.  My father bought parts from him at some point in the 80s...  I was wondering what the reaction would be to this...

I'm more in your court Fred than anything else.  There was many a derogatory comment made about drilling, for lack of a better word, us MN guys on parts in the early 90s.   I'll be going to buy cheap if anything...

Never bought anything from the man, but he seemed like a nice enough fellow.  I  thoroughly enjoyed the tour of his collection when I was there.  That would have been mid to late 90's.  If that collection goes away that means there will no longer be a "Washington AC"!!!

OK, What's hideing out there in Kansas? Did some Googling and says something about the World's largest Allis Chalmers tractor collection ? Museum? Found a picture that shows the aforementioned standing in front of a 6-12, a L?, and some others. Google maps shows a whole yard full of stuff?

I only met Ernie once, at the Orange Spectacular. He seemed like a sociable fellow, his parts were pretty much priced to market as far as I could tell. He wasn't gonna give anything away though. .....So in that respect he's not unlike a lot of others who post here.... Can't fault them for that.
 
It would be an interesting auction to attend to say the least.

I notice in the article that he claims to own the only propane D 17 wheatland.  In the posts about that tractor a few days ago, didn't someone say there were a few dozen made?

Sometime when we are being sociable let me tell you the story about the day I spent with Ernie, Paul Pelton, Jack Gustafson and Norm Meinert driving across Minnesota! A few minutes spent with Ernie are not enough! LOL you have to have him captive with someone like Paul Pelton to ........stir up the conversation as it were! LOL I have never laughed so hard, even Norm Meinert was smiling. At the time I think Ernie was show a list of 300 tractors or more that he had available for sale.

The model that is listed as a 18-30 serial # 7810  IS NOT A 18-30,IT IS a  1926 year  20-35 Longfender.              I seen this tractor in person 2 years ago when I picked up my L model  15-25 tractor  that I bought from Alan Jones.

Wow, I didn't realize he had a Wauk WC.  I wonder if this is a Waukesha XAH engine transplanted into a '34 WC, or if it has an authentic '33 serial number?  The SN was not listed.

  OK, Time to broaden my knowledge. Why are their two 30-60 tractors listed but I cant find a reference to this Model in Norm's bible or Terry Dean's Data book ?

Oh, and I noticed several of the serial numbers/years are not correct as listed.

S/N Not listed becuase it aint real Brian, ad says homemade.  Just buy, then stamp own number, probably already ground smooth back there, LOL
