In an attempt to free up the reverse rod that is rusted in place I have disassembled the gear shifter and forks. there is a snap ring on the top to pull the rod out the top. there is a clip and spring and clip on the bottom to come off. Due to the limited space it is hard to see how to remove this clip.
Any help would be appreciated.

I don't have a picture of just the shifter and the pieces that attach to the bottom of it but here is what all you will find in there.
The spring and the piece on either side of it are what is on the bottom of the shifter. HTH Tom |

Sorry for the slow reply, Went out for family dinner yesterday.
That is exactly what I need. everything was rusted and I did not want to force it if I was missing a key slot somehere. I have it apart aside from the snap ring. Still need to figure that one. Looks like a pretty deep groove. Thanks |
