Went to check the oil in the transmission only to find out that the plug behind the seat does not have a dipstick attached. I measured with a wire and the oil level is 6 1/2" below the top of the transmission housing. I'd appreciate if someone would check their dipstick to see if that is the correct oil level. Manual calls for A-C 322. Decal under the hood says 'A' automatic transmission oil. I use 68 # hydraulic in the hydrostat of my Grasshopper 'O' turn. What is the correct oil?

Believe that is a Eaton Trans-axle unit , it uses ATF and there is a bottle like filler on top that you just keep full to line ,

If there is no dipstick on it (as some models had) there should be a pitcock on the right side on an elbow to check the level.
Yea, I can fix that.....

Place tractor on level surface, open petcock on r.h. lower area on trans axle. Fill Dextron ATF thru pipe plug on top of trans under seat, when oil bubbles out petcock, trans is at operation level.

Thanks for the info. I checked the measurement to the petcock and the oil is that level so we are all good.  The oil on the wire that I diped in did not look red like ATF. Everything works great.
