I have an Allis Chalmers F with the 6 cylinder diesel.  i've heard this is the same engine that is in the 180 diesel. will this engine also fit in a 190 or D19? the bell housing bolts prolly are the biggest hang up.  thanks for any input.

Very early F gas had the Buda 262 6 cylinder gas and was switched to the 292 Chevy six after the first couple of years.  The diesel F was the AC 301 non-turbo like the 180/190.  That will bolt up to those tractors but I beleive will need the tractor flywheel and maybe the front plate and a few other tractor specific items.  The Buda 262 gas would bolt into a D19 with I believe similar conditions.  Mike

the 6 cylinder 301 diesel was used in the Fs and 1977 F2.  The 433I (as in the 6080) was used after that.
