    Posted: 10 Feb 2012 at 8:43am

Hey all,

I have a question about the bolt spacing on the rear axel of my D14.  I assume the bolt spacing is the same as a D15 but does it match the WD series or D17 series?  I'd like to buy some newer tires for my D14 and I see WD Rear tires all the time, I was wondering if they would just bolt right on or if the bolt spacing wouldn't match.  Also, while we're on it, do the snap coupler spring packs and bell housings match?  Could they be swapped between a D14/15, WD or a D17?  My D14 snap coupler spring pack housing was broke sometime in the past and welded back together.  I'm also missing the release lever, there's a jerry rigged chain there now that kinda works but i'm trying to get all the parts put back to what they should be.  Has anyone ever gone through and compared a WD series and a D14/15 series to see what could be swapped between the two?  I see WD's fairly often and was wondering if picking up a donor for my D14 would make sense.  My D14 was used pretty hard and just cobbled back together to keep it running.  I'm slowly putting it back to the condition it should be in and just lurking here has been a huge help, thanks for any advice you all could give.

The 28 inch WD or D-17 wheels will bolt right up to a D-14.

Also 26" combine rims/tires fit as well ! Try local yards ,especially after a 'combine derby'. I got a pair,50% tread, for $100.

The wheels will bolt up, but if you try to spin them all the way in they will hit the fenders. You can get spacers to set them out, but they are hard to find and rather expensive. Make sure you use rail stops!
Here is what the factory 28" option included.

Thanks for the info and the picture.  Anyone know about the snap coupler assemblies matching across the product lines?
