Hurst. maybe you can put some light on this! It is stuck in 4th gear the power shift works fine in 1,2 an3, but It will not come out of 4th? all the linkage looks the but hooked up under the cab, I really don't want to take the cab off I just had it all repainted you know what I mean.

Is the T-handled shifter stuck in neutral or near it and nothing will budge? Have you tried to work the linkage in the shifter cover and it is stuck? It sounds exactly like what I had happen on mine, which was a broken shifter fork rod on the 3/4 shift fork. If it feels jammed into 4th gear and the shifter is jammed and you're sure it's not just a linkage that's binding on the cab or something, then I would pop the floor plate in the cab off and undo the shift cover. BE CAREFUL!!! The shift cover has 2 bolts that are non-standard bolts, they are what the service manual calls "dowel bolts". They have a very tight fit with the hole and don't have a threaded shank for the upper half. If you put the bolts back in the same hole they came out of, you will be fine. Don't forget to undo the long bolt too, my Dad overlooked this when he was trying to take my tractor's cover off. Again, it is probably a 3/4 shifter fork rod that has snapped and now the shift fork is wedged in the coupler where it is pushing it into 4th gear and won't let it out.

Check with some of the guys on here for a used one. They are still available new on AGCO also and not too bad on price all things considered. I got a used one for about half the cost of a new one.
