AGCO Corporation appreciates the comments you have shared. Ideas from you as a valued customer help us to continue meeting your agriculture equipment needs.
As you know, we recently made some important decisions regarding our North America brands, including a plan to phase out AGCO tractors over time. We announced these plans to our dealers in mid-November and are working with them to provide continued parts and service support to our AGCO customers.
In the next few days, we will have additional details on this important topic and will share more information with you in another e-mail.
Thank you for contacting AGCO Answers.

Just now I got the same exact response as you.
My suggestion: Either we can take it laying down, or we can make some noise as we go down with the ship.
I choose the latter. It think someone might - and I say might - notice us Allis Chalmers fans if we all let our feelings known. If everyone e-mailed AGCO, or sent a letter, they might notice us. Maybe.
Here is the e-mail address again: http://www.agcocorp.com/contact.aspx
Go for it!!!!!!!

I'd say, if their lucky, they've got a few days left before everyone jumps ship. I'm working on my tractor spreadsheet for other brands already. I'd be at the dealers by now but have other commitments

DEAD HORSE! Quit beating it! They will not change their plans at all, but you will get a lot of jawboning, if that's what you like.

Your absolutly right. Its over guys. IL Gleaner told you that a few days ago. We'll always have the memories but its a new day. Were down to green now. Case new holland ford ih is now all fiat. If you want to buy american you got to go green. We'll still keep a couple 8000 series but Agco is gonna be little more than a forign tractor broker for cat and massey. as far as I'm concerd massey couldnt build a good tractor when times were good.

Tominpa. I am not sure why you are knocking Massey so hard when it is identical to an Agco. I am not sure how you can say Orange Agcos are good and Massey's are bad when the only difference is paint.

I agree Brett that Dealer is also another factor. Assuming dealers for both are good, the only difference is paint. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to see orange go away but it riles me up when people say Massey is a pos compared to an Agco.

Hey Spud, I understand as I was once an AGCO backer, until oh what about a week. But what's your story? You own orange AGCO tractors? You a dealer? You own AGCO stock?

The only way to change AGCOs mind is money. You want AGCO to make orange tractors, buy new AGCO tractors. The more they sell the more money they make. Dealers sell sell sell. Our AGCO dealer just waits for customers to walk in the door. No ads, fairs or open houses.

Thanks & God Bless

Dennis, you got that right. However, I can undestand why a person would be reluctant to invest their money in new orange equipment when the future prospects appear to be so bleak. That's a tough one. (easy decision for me - no money to buy new equipment of any color- LOL)

Dennis, They've sold sold sold more big AGCO orange tractors than yellow and red combined 4 to 1 or something like that. That is what is so befudling with this whole thing. They say they want to combine their resources for a world marked and MF is a world brand. Well what about Valtra or Deutz-Allis in Brazil? How big is Fendt on the world stage? The only real world brand is MF and maybe some CAT tracked equipment.

Hello Byron:
2 deutz allis tractors, 1 massey tractor, 1 new idea baler, 1 new idea manure spreader.
I like having an alternative to CNH and Deere.

I have AGCO and Massey. I like them both for different reasons. My brother has JDs and a 6080 allis and kubota4x4 loader tractor. I like the quad trans. in the jds (8510 & 7510) both 4x4s. I like the cab on the agco and massey better.( the hyd. controls & visibility) The perkins in the massey sips fuel more than the cummins in the agco. The jds are thisty. It will be a sad day if the only orange is the kubota!

We went with a new green one 8530 but you know what? I still like the 8050s. I truly do. I like the old 4455s as well. Maybe I'm gettin old too but that new stuff dont impress me that much any more. The only real reason to buy new is for taxes and realibility. You only got so long to get the crops in and your more likly to break down with a 25 year old tractor than a new one. Although it can still happen. I think of massey still as the old 1155s and later the 2000 series which was unreliable I understand. I dont know much about the new ones but I doubt the new masseys will match deere on resale . Thats why we went green. I dont have confidence that agco will be a player in north america in 5 years. Wheres white? allis chalmers? Does agco not stand for allis gleaner company?
