My cameraman didn't show up so I had to take the video from the seat. Operating the camera while steering was fun. It did an ok job of picking. The video is from a lighter section of the field. It did well in the heavy corn areas too. Although a little slower ground speed would've been nice. I did notice a few ears on the ground. Couldn't tell if they were falling out of the snapper rolls, getting thrown over the back of the gravity box or if some had been knocked off by deer and coons.

Forgot to mention I don't have the pair of fans. I ended up with a fair amount of lose corn husks and short stalk tips in the gravity box. I'm guessing the fans would've helped to get rid of some of that. The corn was still a bit moist but I couldn't wait any longer. I tried picking early this morning, about 8:30-9am but the corn must have been too damp as both snapper rolls got wrapped up with corn stalks. I picked later about 2pm and didn't have any problems with that.

What a GREAT OSHA approved machine!
Being serious, Thats awesome! Sure wish I had something like that and a few acres of a corn field to hunt pheasants and pick with. Sure looks like fun!

I had trouble in the morning with the tractor missing badly under a load. It has a different model Fairbanks Morse magneto than my Allis B and C's. The black cap is all one piece. The rotor underneath is a complete circle and each of the 4 terminals on the underside of the cap have spring loaded contacts that are touching the rotor at all times. The points adjuster got lose and needed to be cleaned and reset. I did have to stop a few times to unplug the snapper rolls when a slug of sod/dirt would get stuck. I disked the field twice but it was still fairly rough. I also had a rock get stuck on top of the snapper rolls once.

The fans on the AC husking pickers were mounted on the side of the tractor and were run off the belt pulley. You had to change the flat belt pulley for a V belt pulley and the V belt ran the right fan which had a shaft running to the left fan accross the tractor to blow out the leaves. It did not do the best job of blowing out the trash. We use to get a lot of stalks etc in the wagon when we unloaded into the elevator.

Great video! It appears you can hook up the power lift to raise the picker? Never looked into that I guess. Husker Farm Boy is right, no matter what you end up with alot of stalks in the wagon.
