well today i went to work were ive been partially working on a 37 wc wich the engine was stuck.. today it came completely loose!!!.. now to just get it running.. ill keep yall updated as the progress grows..

wd with a freeman model 90 trip loader, wd45, 38 unstylled wc, b 10 garden tractor and 2-14 ac trip plow. grandpa has a 56 wd45. wd. allis chalmers snap coupler blade and 3 bottom snap coupler plow

Nice Job. You've just completed the hardest part. Getting that engine running should be a piece of cake all you have to mess with is timing. I wish every motor was as simple as the ones in the old WC's. Those tractors make such good projects for beginners like myself and still look very cool.

I fully agree that the WC engine is one of the simplest to work on. Very basic.
Great that you got the engine unstuck. Hope all the other moving parts are OK too.
Take good care and let us know how it goes.
By the way is it an unstyled or styled. If memory serves me correct this is the crossover year.

38 was the last year of the unstyleds. 39 were styled.

They switched from Unstyled (last unstyled is serial # 74329) to Styled in 1938. Styled serial numbers 74330-75215 are 1938's, to be exact.

Well, if he hasn't taken the ignition system off, it shouldn't even need timing... just make sure it sparks, and it SHOULD be in the 'good' zone.
