well...since it's to wet to be in the field, decided to replace a few bearings in the double disks of my planter, got the disks off ok....then came the grinding, drilling, punching, more grinding, more punching....whew...finally got those %^$#%^#&^% rivits outta the disks! you can bet yer bippy, not gonna replace with more rivits! small bolts will work! i finished one field of corn about 45 mins before it started raining last week! get to the shed, and find one drive chain missing! rut-roh! now...i wonder when that came off? and where? of course the field i finished up on, is right next to the highway!! #@!#$@$. well i bought an old 3-pt demster 2-row planter about 15 years ago...just for this problem....but have never had to use it....til now! guess tomarrow i'll gits it out and check it over! still have beans to put in yet!

Shameless:  I went through the same thing with m 494A this Spring.  Grinding and punching rivets is no fun.

gots the new bearings in for the disks, they were the original bearings...figered they lasted bouts 45 years or so!

Did that last year for my 6 row Allis. It got bolts too!
