That seems like alot of hours on a 14 year old, 145 hp tractor to ask $35000 ?

Yeah they are not cheap, if you look at the ones with lower hours, they take a huge jump in the price, we are also looking to one that isnt overly far away. I guess we will find out tommorow if it was ever overhauled or what not. Steve

They are very dependanble and fuel efficient trators, at least that is what I have heard.  Find out what type of hours.  If on a mixer waon, not very many.  If tillage, might want to watch out.  I know what you mean about boucing around in old tractors.  When you spend hundreds of hours in a tractor, air seats and can coolers are nice.

Allis Restorer, I have a couple hundred hours on these tractors.  In my opinion these are the most user friendly Powershifts made.  They downshift automatically when you push in the clutch too.  I am unsure of the longevity of them.  The only problems I had with the ones I ran were they were hard starting in the winter time.  I think the air intake heater is a poor design.  Had a few a/c issues.  And the transmissions hit hard when shifting from 9th to 10th i believe.  I cant think of anymore issues we had with them, I believe the 8670 had 6000 hours and the 8870 had 4500.

While I cannot be of any assistance in the the capabilities of this particular unit I would like to add that newer more efficient units are necessary to farm more technically efficient nowdays.  I see these units pull the sand cleaners at OC MD.  I usually talk to the operators to see what they say but last year the New Hollands were new and I was not in a position to ask them.  However, they seem to pull beach cleaners - a job a 190 did years ago - with ease.
Funny,  The largest AC unit I sold was the D-17.  Here is a unit that is more efficient, much more comfortable, and more tecnically efficient with almost three times more power.  Hard for me to believe.
Good Luck!

Well i call the guy today, and He said that the tractor Runs great and looks good for as many hours are on it. He said it was mainly used on a mixer, so the tires are good on it, and he said that everything works and said if i wanted i could take it for a test drive, So now we have some thinking to do on it, I also found one other one that i might call on tommorow. I will keep you updated. Steve
