Need to replace the cooling fan bearings on our Deutz 6275 open-station, FWA tractor. Naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine. Cooling fan is directly driven by the belt; there is not a thermocouple/oil drive on this engine.
Got the ball bearings and they are only sealed on one side. Service manual does not cover working on the cooling fan. Does the cavity between the two bearings need to be packed with grease/filled with oil? How much and what type of lubricant? This fan must turn at 4-5000 rpms so dry bearings won't run for long.
