My generator is beyond repair so I am contemplating putting an Alternator on my D14. Anyone have any suggestions for an alternator and mounting brackets? Any help will be appreciated.

Keep in mind, Alternators are Negative ground, so don't forget to change things around such as Ignition wiring, battery cables etc. Its a good idea to switch to a Voltmeter also for safety. If the wiring is in good shape, shouldn't be a problem using the system. Would be a good idea to upgrade the Ignition switch also. The D series Ign. switches were to light for the system, hence the reason for burnt up harnesses behind the dash lot's of times. We offer a complete 12V conversion wiring system for the D14 if your wiring is in shabby shape, and you want to upgrade to a more reliable system and components...
