    Posted: 01 Apr 2011 at 8:09pm
Hello everyone,
I think I'm in the running for the dumbest question ever asked on this forum........so here goes.
In removing the oil pan from my WD do I remove the brace at the front of the engine? And if so, do I need to brace the engine?
Thanks!
gary

Yes, remove the brace. The engine will be fine until you get the oil pan and brace reinstalled.

The only dumb questions are the ones you don't ask. One good thing about this forum is the people on here with lots of knowledge and experience (not me) which they are willing to share.

Do not trim anything from the seals, look at this former post on how to install your pan gasket.
