I have a definate "knock" in my rh axle. With the tire elevated it happens once per revolution forward in the same spot and reversing the rotation it knocks twice in the same place as before. Going down the road the noise is a little unnerving, it is very noticeable and you can feel as well as hear it. the bull gear looks like new with no noticeable wear at all. I just finished replacing the axle bearings and it is still doing the exact same thing. I didn't mic anything on the bull gear but am wishing I had now.
there is no noise at all on the lh side when elevated or otherwise so I was ruling out the differential. the only bearings I have not replaced on the south half of the tractor in the last two years is the lh axle. Is there anywhere else I could look? Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated. (tractor ride season is fast approaching :) )
Thanks,
Randy
